VietVelo's commitment to fostering individual growth and accomplishments is the foundation of our club. We organize rides and events designed to help members reach their personal goals. Whether it's completing a challenging ride, improving endurance, or participating in a community-focused event, each ride is planned to support individual growth, making it integral to the club's overall success.
Beyond personal achievements, our efforts also benefit the broader community by promoting health, encouraging active lifestyles, and fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mutual support. We contribute to a healthier, more connected community by empowering our members.
ride 2 Richmond (r2R) was inspired by the RVA to DC Bike Ride, organized by former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe in 2016—a two-day, 156-mile journey from Richmond to Arlington that highlighted Virginia’s bike trails and promoted healthy lifestyles.
While the RVA to DC ride took place only once, r2R has continued annually since 2017, evolving into a lasting VietVelo tradition that brings together cyclists of all levels for a challenging and rewarding journey. Each edition builds on the spirit of camaraderie, adventure, and shared accomplishment.
This challenge pushes riders to their limits. Over 24 hours, cyclists aim to complete as many miles as possible, battling fatigue, weather, and the clock. It's about resilience, determination, and community.
The 2026 edition takes place on Friday, May 1, in Aldie, VA.
A highlight of the year, our Annual Gala brings together members, families, and friends for an unforgettable evening of celebration. Filled with inspiring stories, entertainment, and the chance to honor the achievements that make our community exceptional, this year’s event will be the biggest yet—celebrating our 20th Anniversary in style.

In addition to refreshing drinks and warm hospitality, we offer a professional photo shoot to capture your ride in style. Whether you're conquering the century for the first time or a seasoned veteran of the event, stop by to refuel, take a break, and create lasting memories.
